Being the parent who didn't say "Not My Child".  Raising my children who gave me the idea of the title.  They were tired of parents who could never accept that their child was at fault.  Especially when my children were blamed for something they didn't do and the other child got off the hook.  I was a parent who knew when my child did something that needed grounding and by God they were.  What wasn't acceptable was the opposite.  Children would do things and not be reprimended in front of my children and at times right in front of me.  My children were raised to not lie, tell the truth and make sure I knew first. I told them or you will get more than a grounding if you don't...they kept to the I will tell my parents first.  I told every school my children attended, I will not say.."Not My Child".  I am not with them 24-7.  The schools staff told me that we wish we had more parents like you.  My children were proud of this.
